Dove Christian Center Church began as a Bible Study session in April of 1990. The first sessions met in Oak Park, Michigan on Thursday evening. In June of that year the bible class was moved to Pastor Trammer's home to accommodate the growing attendance.
In November of 1990, the church began leasing space for Sunday Worship in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 16100 Lawton, Detroit. The church continued growing and was looking to purchase a property. Dove Christian Center Church purchase the current location and held their first service in September 1992. The building has been continually upgraded during the period. Renovations included the pouring of a cement floor in the lower level and the addition of air-conditioning.
