In 1924 God called his dedicated children together to start the Calvary Lutheran Church and school. The congregation and school prospered to the point where they outgrew their facilities on Chandler. Construction started on the church and school on Electric Avenue in 1956. The school continued to grow to a point that in 1974 four more classrooms were added to the facility (along the west wing of the property). In 1995 the congregation in a leap of faith, completed the school by adding five more classrooms (along the north side), a fellowship hall, kitchen, and teachers lounge. This latest addition added air-conditioning to the new space. The kitchen was completed with the most advanced materials and design.
Enrollment in the school did not meet the congregation's expectations and in 2000 the school was closed. Over the years, the congregation has been duly blessed with a property that has allowed them to reach out to the surrounding community. The congregation wishes to share its blessing with an organization that can better utilize the school portion of the facility.
